> Hopefully you’ll be able to see the Reverend and his band in concert at some point. I’ll be seeing them towards the end of the month in Chicago at one of my favorite clubs, Schubas. If we have time, I’d like to film more tutorial footage, but I really need input from a guitar player - I don’t play at all.

If we are talking a focus 100% on tutorial (vs. entertaining and educating) I liked that clip I posted to - with the Pic-in-Pic shot of the picking hand and a close-up of the strum hand - very helpful.

\*\*FGIE \*\*- yeah, it’s advanced stuff; but it looks and sounds so darn cool 😉

I was never a huge fan, but after hearing it on the radio (and thinking, Hmm, that might be interesting) I hunted down the tab for Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain,” and it’s an interesting little guitar part. Very Richard Thompson-y when you play it solo but not that difficult.

> [Moondance](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBnuwwWxfsI), by Van Morrison. Great groove; good chords; good rhythm/moving bass exercise.

Fwiw, I tried this over the weekend - at least getting a moving bassline going while I used my middle and ring fingers on my picking hand to pluck chords while I flatpicked the bass notes. Incredibly cool - a new level of coordination. Very much one of those “riding the bike with no training wheels” moments. I even got a few lead fills in and got back to the rhythm intact!
