I want 2 columns of twitter feeds. One contains, say, everything. The other contains lower volume feeds, say less than 60 tweets per week, including re-tweets. I’m not sure where I want the cutoff yet.

I can’t quite swing this. You can make lists, but I only know how to edit them by hand. Is it possible to export and/or import those you follow on twitter? I tried Twitter’s desktop app a few months back and couldn’t get it to do what I wanted it to. Twitter apparently stomped on third party developers a couple of years ago.

Or maybe there’s an RSS solution. I’m using this tool mostly as a news aggregator anyway.

Have you tried TweetDeck? It’s pretty customizable and can do a lot of sorting/management/curation type tasks.

Seesmic can also handle multiple Twitter feeds, I believe.

Seesmic was absorbed by Hootsuite I think, but Hootsuite handles multiple twitter accounts handily, at least on the desktop.

Ok, so I should open 2 twitter accounts and use an extra piece of software.

Is it possible to import and export from twitter? I’d like to export my current list, remove some of the heavy tweeters, then reimport them into a new account.

I don’t suppose there is a piece of twitter software that can filter feeds according to criteria like posting frequency, is there?

Why do you need the second account again?

TweetDeck can filter people by activity level, and many other criteria.

I tried TweetDeck a month ago and wasn’t able to filter people by activity level. I reinstalled it just now - still no luck.

Here’s an image of part of the program, modified a little: [http://wm40.inbox.com/thumbs/92\_130b2c\_894fa889\_oP.png.thumb](http://wm40.inbox.com/thumbs/92_130b2c_894fa889_oP.png.thumb)
Maybe they changed it.
