I was a Charter Member just the last time I logged in (a week ago or so) but now I am a member. I do not think the suits like me. 
But I like them.

We show you initially registered on the SDMB and became a subscriber in March of 2005; this does not a Charter Member make.
Charter Members were those who subscribed before the original cutoff date, which was in March of 2004.
The initial registrations still had the initial “Charter Member” designation until a few weeks ago, when Jerry sorted out those who had subscribed before the original cutoff and those who had not. All those who came after the cutoff are simply styled as “Members.”

I like having a badge of status. What’s wrong with having a status symbol? Do we all have to be the same? sigh
