I posted a few times in that thread. There were some heartwrenching posts by Dopers whose grandparents were survivors. I think it’s good to have a whole bunch of very smart people engage in a debate with twits like **Gurfinkle** , if only because more and more of the crazy got teased out. This wasn’t someone who was mistaken or deluded, this was an anti-Semite and he was exposed as such. Cockroaches don’t like sunlight. ---

It just angered me that such a small group 35/850 were being singled out for abuse on “spirit day”. And maybe it wasn’t anti-semitism on the part of the kids. However, I immediately flashed back to a couple of years ago. My daughter was the manager and lifeguard at a neighborhood pool in that school district. She was chatting with a couple of middle school age girls one afternoon and they asked if she had a boyfriend and what was his name. She told them his name which happens to be distinctly hispanic. The girls were shocked and couldn’t believe that her parents would ‘let’ her date a Mexican. I blame the parents. ---
