When the board went down (one of the times) I joined the Facebook group to see what was going on. Almost immediately I un-joined as it paired my actual name with my SDMB name. While I stand behind what I post here, I worry about stalker type behavior that could result. Just my 2 cents. ---

How did it pair your name? We have a list for those who wish to reveal their name, but I’m struggling to see how it happens automatically. ---

It was a while back so I could be wrong. It is possible I was just concerned about someone matching personal info I’ve posted with personal info on Facebook. It would take about 2 minutes if anyone tried. I don’t recall whether it automatically matched my names or not. I do remember thinking “this is potentially a bad idea”. ---

I also believe the group is private, so unless a person is connected to the group, no one can see what you post there. ---
