My behavior over the years has been completely uneven and sometimes infamously terrible. My statements about women in particular were horrible. I am engaged to an extremely talented Episcopal priest against all probability. I was embarrassed when I realized she might find out some of what I wrote along with my mothers and daughters. Everything I have ever said is true but it was presented in an inflammatory way that I deeply regret. This is a completely sincere apology that no one else knows about. I reread some of what I wrote years ago and, although there were reasons for it, that is still no excuse. I was just being a dick because I could. People can grow and change and I certainly have.
