# I want to start a thread, but I think I will need moderator support

To be precise, he banned himself. He got three Warnings, but had not got to being in danger of a suspension or a ban.

He was [banned on his own request](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/tim-r-mortiss-banned-as-per-his-request-after-his-3rd-warning-for-being-a-jerk/922665). I suspect that the mods would reverse the ban if he asked them.
