The fact that some of us have to take special care to avoid being physically attacked is not okay and the whole point is that no one should have to. Not that certain types of people should learn to keep our mouths shut because certain other types of people are more likely to attack us if we don’t. ---

The first bolded segment was a complete joke and I cannot believe you even remember that. I am glad I make such an impression. 🆒 The second bolded segment is simply wrong. I blocked that guy in (after repeated refusals to leave) only to go retrieve the security guard; no police were involved in the ordeal whatsoever. \*and that person you say had every right to be in that handicap spot never did display any placard/permit, so they did NOT have every right to be there. All that was done was the passenger _momentarily_ pulled out and flashed a placard from the glove box. It very well could have the passenger’s placard; who didn’t leave the car (and this is the likely scenario as the passenger was an elderly lady). ---

Someone with a disabled parking permit cannot park in a disabled spot? And you are confrontational enough to block people in with you car… Yep - that helps your case a lot… ---

In general, people who are less physically capable than average of defending themselves are more likely to be the targets of violence: physically disabled people, women, the elderly, children. It honestly had not occurred to me that people would be skeptical of that point. And sorry, but if you are skeptical, you obviously want scholarly sources to convince you – I mean, you certainly wouldn’t be convinced by something I Google up for you. And I don’t have JStor, or ProQuest, or WestLaw, or Lexis-Nexis, or other things like that at home, where I am liable to be posting here. And to be quite honest, in my evaluation, someone who needs a basic fact like this explained to them is probably just being intransigent and unwilling to accept a point that is obvious or well-known, and I’m definitely not going to spend my working hours finding a list of citations that will undoubtedly result in more ‘skepticism’. Can you specify who is violating the rules? Because my ardent belief in parking lots doesn’t seem like it would be against the rules but honestly after reading this thread I’m kind of doubting what the rules here say. ---

I am new here and I entirely do not know what rule I am violating, but I’m a bit nervous now that you imply that I am violating one. I have been arguing with other people but I don’t feel I have stepped over any lines they haven’t beaten me to, so I was assuming I was in the clear. I’m not exactly a wilting flower but I’m definitely trying to keep within the confines of the rules as I read them. So, clearly, your skepticism about the physical layout of the environment, a physical layout that would leave someone waiting in a road at a curb cut, indicates that you do not believe that it is even possible that our hero was ever in a parking lot. Because otherwise it would be easy to picture that circumstance. ---
