I think it’s hilarious that the OP is the one who complained about misogyny in [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=573305). And yet she can’t handle the idea that someone who’s a. attractive and b. a _woman_ could possibly be successful in life due to her own work. Because all attractive women are brainless bimbos, of course. ---

Look, I grew up in the sixties and seventies. Sure there were your sex symbols like Elly Mae and Wrangler Jane on F Troop. But even Charlie’s Angels had the believeable looking Kate Jackson. They could have her in a bikini, with a stripper pole in her office and it would still be more realistic than the premise of Blue Bloods.\* - If you have never seen Blue Bloods - 1. Dad is NYC Police Commissioner. 2. Son is NYC Police Detective. 3. Another son is rookie NYC Police Cop. 4. Yet another son is a dead NYC Police Cop. 5. Daughter is NYC District Attorney. 6. Future daughter-in-law is NYC District Attorney assistant. 7. Grandpa used to be the NYC Police Commissioner All that is missing is adopting a German Shepard that used to be on the NYC K-9 patrol for the family pet.
