Insprired by the wanker hobbyist thread, and specifically by [this post on part-time soldiers.](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=9102152&postcount=150) I want to fill my home with “tactical” stuff. I see I can get tactical flashlights, and I’m sure I can get endless loads of weapons and and equipment webbing. Surely there must be other stuff? A tactical PC, or coffee table? Can I get a tactical couch? Help me out here. What would my tactical home look like? ---

I saw a toddler in camo being carried at the zoo Saturday. I wonder how his parents would find him if they put him down. ---

I have tactical juggling balls, but they’re one of a kind. They’re excellent for juggling while on maneuvers. ---

We have Tactical Servers here. Basically a 19" rack about 19" high with a camo steel case and front/back lids. These days with 1U blade servers, you can have a heck of a lot of compute power in one of these. Si ---

Well, hit the anvil case [webpage](http://www.anvilcase.com/products/index.html) and look at MACC, military applications. They have a case that turns into a desk, and at one time it seemed like I was moving so dang often I was seriously temptd to get that as it would also store my computer gear for transport, and if you watch the old 30s movies, you see steamer trunks that open up and have a section for hanging clothes and a section of drawers… I figured I could get 2 of those, the MACc computer desk, another MACC looking case fitted out to hold my other consumer electrics [a couple of tvs, a vcr a cd/tape deck and some other small things] a macc case fitted to hold all my dishes/cookware and one for books [i figured out how it could fold and unfold in quarters to be a nice sized book case] and get the wheel options it would be a snap to move. Add the camo look web furniture from http://www.cabelas.com/ or some other camping supply, and I HIGHLY recommend the aluminum cot that holds 600 lbs - NO wobble! you can have very portable tactical furnishings=) ---

This thread reminds me of an ex-boyfriend of my sister’s, the sort of twit who would boast without being asked that if six men jumped on him down a dark alley at night he’d be able to fight them all off because he knows how to handle himself. He claimed he’d be able to live in our back garden for a week without us noticing. Good luck with that kiddo, it’s a ten foot square pocket handkerchief. To contribute, maybe you could have a camo shower curtain? Or you could use a Swiss army knife for all your beer bottle opening needs? ---

Personally, I don’t go anywhere without my elite [tactical blood type identification badges](http://www.atstacticalgear.com/istar.asp?a=6&id=SC-019!073). I collected all eight, but some idiot I know says I’m “missing the point.” Pfft. ---
