I must say I’d hate to be a mod having to make these decisions as to which medical discussions are ok and which are not. After two decades plus of practice, I’m not sure which call I’d make on some threads. The extremes are easy. With one extreme, the poster is complaining they have chest pain and can’t breath well, and is asking for advice on the internet. I _hope_ there’s no reasonable disagreement about shutting that one down. On the other extreme, you have someone who says they’re following the precise directions of their multi-specialty treatment team, is conferring with their docs and nurses regularly as things proceed, and would just like to know if anyone else had similar experiences. They emphasize they are not asking for advice as they have plenty of that, but want to know what it was like for someone else. Should be a no-brainer there too. Unfortunately, 99% of the posts fall between those two poles. ---

I believe the line you used was “I’m not looking for advice on the taper so much (although I’ll certainly listen to any experiences) as any “other” stuff that helped any of you with this.” Three posts later came advice about going on and off Prozac. Now , while I admit I _may_ have been a little trigger happy due to a recent rash(no pun intended) of threads where people were asking for medical advice, if you _had_ phrased your request more like your opening post here I probably would have let it stay open. BTW, I am _so_ sorry about the “form letter”. Next time I’ll send a Vermont Teddy Bear holding a Hallmark card.
