So, I am going to start by saying that I go for the sativa, not indica, but I buy different levels of THC in my flower because I use different levels depending on how much pain I am in. Pot has never once done a thing to lessen the pain for me, but it helps me not care that I am in pain which is probably not the best thing, but it is what works for me. Sometimes I need to get higher to reach that level of not caring, sometimes I don’t. ---

Most of my experience with the legal market has been in Oklahoma. I’m not legal there, but the people who buy it are. If claimed THC levels are the metric for potency, then I would take it with a grain of salt. It’s a crapshoot like buying brick weed in the 80s in Texas. Some is really good, some is meh. No matter what the claimed THC levels are, you’ve got to spend what I spend on the black market in Texas (around $300/oz) to be guaranteed something with the same perceived potency. Sadly, like most things, you’ve got to try what’s available and select what you like. ---

I’ve mentioned this a few times before but I can’t tell the difference between sativa and indica. They all just get me high. It might be that despite being a stoner for decades, I’m still a lightweight. One or two little hits and I’m good for the evening. I just buy what’s relatively cheap with a name that amuses me. ---

I’ll bet if you took a single hit of Durban Poison (a landrace sativa) and then the next night a single hit of Afghan (a landrace indica) you could tell the difference. I find the desriptions and reviews a better source of information than the strain. It either lays you back (stoner weed) or hypes you up (activity weed). Both of which can be good given different situations. At concerts I prefer activity type weed, as it gets me buzzed and motivated (unless its a stoner band like Pink Floyd). I never want to smoke a strain before bedtime that would keep me awake, as that sucks. ---

I am very open to experimenting but my many years of experience is what it is. I don’t doubt that many or most others are different. I assure you that all pot for me enhances live music similarly, makes me enjoy times with friends similarly and doesn’t affect my sleep similarly. ---

I only partake a few times a month as well. I love my vape for the convenience. It’s perfect for bringing into a concert. I’m a live music junkie and I’ve observed that it’s rare to see smokey hazes in clubs anymore because so many people have switched to vaping. ---

I’ve just recently tried it, and it’s great! I’m really curious about the $ to buzz ratio as compared to the same dollar amount of flower. Three .5 g carts cost me $90. $90 of bud is about a months worth. I think the ticket for me is to vape when smoking isn’t convenient. It’s kinda cool that you can take a hit in the dark, when loading a bowl would be problematic. When I win the big one, I’ll have a whole drawer full of carts 🙂 ---

I’m in NJ, where recreational was legalized two years ago. I refuse to put smoke in my lungs, and vape isn’t much better, so I’ve been focusing on tinctures, oils, and edibles. Mostly I’ve been making my own from 7-gram packs of flower that go for about $70-$80 at local dispensaries. The result is incredibly cheap stuff - per dose, much cheaper than a candy bar. Occasionally, I do spend extra on the professionally-made stuff; not because it is any better than homemade, but to verify that I get the same kind of hit from lab-made 10 mg THC as from my homemade stuff that I’ve calculated to have 10 mg. Anyway, now that I’ve introduced myself, here’s my question: I am starting to get into TCH powders, mainly because they hit so much faster than other edibles. (See, for example, [this article](https://emilykylenutrition.com/cannabis-oil-powder/) or just google “thc powder”.) I made a batch yesterday, and it didn’t come out as expected, and I’d like to talk with others about it. Does anyone here have similar experiences?
