> I once read an interview with Sue Grafton where she said she would NEVER allow her Kinsey Milhone books to be filmed. She had been a scriptwriter or screenwriter in Hollywood and the whole experience left a bad taste in her mouth. And that’s a shame, because since KM is 'stuck in the ‘80s’, I think some nice ‘period’ pieces could be filmed the next time '80’s nostalgia rolls around.

Slight hijack: If I had my druthers, I’d never allowed those books to be published. Or written.

Not shallow at all. You reminded me of the short-lived, planned-then-canned live action Evangelion movie. The way those robots moved, so fluid and human-like, would translate very well to live action film, I think.

Thats a shame - but I can understand her feeling like that.

Have the Stephanie Plum books been filmed yet?

I know **Georgette Heyer** loathed the film version of The Reluctant Widow & said she wouldn’t allow the others to be filmed. I don’t know how long copyright lasts but I think some of her other books would be good made for TV films. The first ones that came to mind are Black Moth, Beauvallet & Cotillion.

Its been at least 10 years since I read it, but I remember thinking NZ author’s **Maurice Shadbolt’s** book Season of the Jew would make a great film.

Interstellar Pig. It was one of my first sci-fi type books. Weird and kinda creepy but fun.
