Le Jaq is pissed that dudes have to ask women out, and that dudes who don’t get laid are socially scorned (to both of which, fair enough). But of course he blows it up into a HUGE SOCIAL EVIL and goes on and on about how everyone who doesn’t think we should force all women into re-education centers so that they will ask dudes out first is an evil evil person who doesn’t believe in true gender equity etc etc etc. Also, his proposed solution to the problem of romantically unsuccessful dudes being scorned is to increase the amount of scorn romantically unsuccessful woman receive. Dude has issues. ---

Poor, poor pitiful **Le Jaq** , socially inept and shy, unable to get a date because the girls won’t ask him. And it’s all the fault of an unjust society, that shuns men for such traits but embraces women. Though, I’ve never heard a man called an ‘old maid’, but still. I have no time for people with problems who would rather blame them on some scrapegoat/society than examine themselves and face their issues, grow, evolve. Better to be bitter, angry, righteously outraged, than take a close look at themselves. ---

I vaguely remember reading an article in a magazine, once, about a study that determined that most men wait and watch and then ask out women who have given them a non-verbal signal of interest. So according to that magazine writer’s interpretation of a single study that he might have misunderstood, women are asking men out. They’re just doing it an a subtle and non-committal sort of way.
