Gah, our charity work is becoming yet another dimension of stuff in our house. It’s bad enough that Ren garb is in at least four rooms, but now we add boxes and bins of donations to be raffled or auctioned and bundles (!) of cash. Small bundles, and mostly ones, but still, once you get past the point of being able to paperclip it, it’s a bundle. The big question is if we’ll beat a Faire in another state. A challenge has been raised, and I hope we beat the Faire boogers out of them. ---

Home and relaxing. On the way in today was asked to join the circus at DC Superior Court for the Chris Brown arraignment. For those who don’t know Chris Brown (if I am even spelling his name right) is a musician with a bad-boy image, an arrest record and was arrested in DC over the weekend for assault. To add to the fun though the main media encampment & interview podium was set up in front of the court, it was common knowledge Mr. Brown would exit the rear of the courthouse. It was after that scrum occurred (I wasn’t involved, I was busy running 2 live trucks out front) that a still photographer was walking by complaining to a friend about all the civilians who showed up with cell phones trying to get a photo. “I had a great shot then all these damn muggles jumped in my way!” Made my fucking night! ---

I’ve probably missed the boat on this one completely, but I switched to french press coffee about a year ago and haven’t looked back. Auto-drip had been tasting acidic to me, but the french press is deliciously smooth. I add a bit of half and half and a splenda packet and I’m good to go. Help me, my daughter is getting me hooked on RuPaul’s Drag Race! LOL If you’ve never seen it, check it out. Admittedly not everyone’s cuppa, so to speak and can get quite raunchy at times, so watch out for that. It is entertaining though. ---

Yanno, if they really wanted to avoid running the photographic gauntlet after a trial, they wouldn’t leave through the front or the rear of the building. They’d go out through the attic or a basement tunnel leading into a completely different building several blocks away. ---

Happy Toosday! It’s a cool 41 degrees outside with a projected high of 60. It’s miserable hot inside which is why I am up so early. I think I will open my window. Today is pizza day and laundry day. Pet sitting starts tomorrow for the next week and a half. I have 3 clients going out of town with a bit of overlap. It’s going to be busy. ---

BTW, Bolthouse C-Boost (it’s a ready-made fruit smoothie) not only has goodies like echinacea and Vitamin C, but the texture is really nice if your throat is sore. ---

Blurf. I am finally getting out of the School of Education, tomorrow is my last day here and then I am moving on to one of the Engineering depts for an assignment that should take me up to hexmas and possibly into next year. It’s more money than this one as well, so that cannot be a bad thing. I guess that means there will be cake tomorrow. That’s traditional for the last day in the office although I have already brought in cakes once before and had a leaving lunch as well…and still haven’t left! This time it’s definite, honest. Day two of BPPV (vertigo) episode. Can’t get an ENT appointment till next Monday for an Epley Maneuver (YouTube it if you’re curious). Week two of sick dog. Have to pick up compounded antibiotics on my way home from irk tonite. Pharmacy is in Fancy Town. I am worried. I grind my beans and drip brew my coffee. I like it sweet with milk and Splenda. Monday I had a fasting lab and had to drink it black. Blech! ---

I don’t drink coffee because I don’t like coffee. I used to like the smell of coffee but when I got pregnant all those years ago the smell made me nauseous. It doesn’t bother me like that anymore but I still don’t like the smell. Today is a crappy day, I don’t know why I just feel down and depressed. A friend called me to go to lunch and I really don’t want to but I should. I know I’ll feel better if I get out but I look at my laundry and some other things I need to so and - there is really something wrong with a person who’d rather do laundry than go out to lunch.
