Howdy from da cave! My version of Philly cheesesteaks for dindin tonight. YUM! The small chuck roast I threw in the crockpot is all nice and tender with a nice little gravy. In a bit I shall saute onions and peppers and toast hoagie rolls. Even have some good pepperjack cheese. NUM! Oh and doin’ some oven fries. Ima irk from home tomorrow. YAY!!! Well, I do have to deal with a webinar for about an hour and a half but better from da cave where I can be all comfy and slouchy. Also, tomorrow is supposed to be rain/tstorms/apocalypse so a good day to be inside. **Shelly** deep breaths. All will be well. **Nuts** here’s hopin’ whatever’s wrong with the ride ain’t too bad. **{{{Puggy}}}** so sorry for the loss of your baby. Chee-hoo-ah-hoo-ahs for all their orneriness do worm their little selves into our hearts. I still miss JoeDawg and he wasn’t even my chee-hoo-ah-hoo-ah. Home, but not yet hiding from beggars… That’ll come after dark. \*\*FCD \*\*has taking Higgs to get her nails trimmed. He and I are going out to eat tonight because I don’t feel like cooking and he wants to go out. Not sure where, don’t particularly care. We had a staff meeting at 2 this afternoon, with cake and ice cream! 😃 Missy Prissy’s b-day was last week and they usually go out for lunch for b-days, but they did a belated cake. If I’m still working there in January, I’m hoping they just ignore my b-day. It’s not that big a deal to me and honestly, I can’t think of anyone there that I want to socialize with. They’re OK, but there’s no one I’d consider a friend. A few of them dressed up, sorta. I miss the good old days when Halloween belonged to kids and adults limited themselves to buying candy for kids. Not that any of the dressing up affected me - I was mostly in my cubicle all day, except for the little while I went to look at the weldment that I’m trying to draw - holy crap, did I miss some things!! The old drawings I’m working from are very unclear - at least now I have laid hands upon the parts and I know what I need to do. So there’s that. And thus endeth October! Another year is nearly gone - dang!!! Happy Halloween/Thursday!! ---

The VunderLair is decorated, and the bucket of candy is ready. The only things left to do is to break the glowsticks in the disembodied eyes I’m hanging in the bushes, and to put on my stuffed ghoul costume and plant my keester in the rocking chair to sit like I’m a fake. Then, when the kiddies come up for their candy, I’ll scare the stuffing outta them. 😃 Pictures of the lair to come later… ---

Dindin is et. YUM! I make good Philly cheesesteaks (my version) even if’n I do say so myself. Now all settled in for the evenin’. I’m hidin’ out in the backside of da cave (like usual), so it won’t look like I’m in da cave at all. ETA: OYKW brought me some ginormous macaroons from the Pubic sto. YUM! again. ---

We let The Colonel make supper - I had pot pie and my sweetie had fried chickie. We’re home now and the curtains and blinds out front are drawn. The only light in the living room is from the aquarium. I hope the kids take the hint that no lights are on so no goodies will be forthcoming. I’ll be irking but others will hand out candy. I hope the HFH puts her dogs up so they aren’t barking the whole time, otherwise I won’t be able to irk. Even better she should go out TorT with her grandkids. I have some candy here I don’t want (milk duds and cookies and cream), I’ll have to trade it with the stuff in the bowl I do want. I had half the sauerbeef and dumplings for a late lunch, I will have the rest for a late dinner. It was pretty good. ---

Yay for new job,\*\* doggio\*\*! 🙂 Happy Friday for those of you celebrating Fridayness. It is, however, the wrong Friday for me as RT won’t be home until next weekend. Oh well, at least we’re halfway to the right Friday. This weekend I have a show. A craft show. This means that I might as well stay home as go if indications from history are correct but I do this one for nostalgia as it’s at my old high school. Blurf… went to landlord’s gig last night, was quite a late one. Am slightly hungover, and just got phoned and told I’m working quite a bit earlier than I thought today… Agh. Need to go pick up all the gear from the venue, 'cos we left it there yesterday, which means it’ll be a bit tight getting to work on time. On the plus side, I think work is at a firework display, which is always nice for an amateur pyro. Happy too-much-sugar day!
