I had three paintings in a local art show that ended yesterday. Today they called me to let me know that one of my paintings ([this one, in fact](http://gallery2.opalcat.com/gallery2/v/Art/Ink/afternoonreverie.jpg.html)) had won the People’s Choice award, with 240 votes. Hooray! This means that I will get to place some of my art in their “Champion’s Show” which will be held at a later as-yet-unknown date. Anyway, I was excited and wanted to share. ---

Girl, did you seriously do this? “Get your nose out of that book & go outside & play…” Fantastic work. What medium did you use? I can’t believe you’re talking local—don’t you already have wider recognition? At least this will get you more exposure. “People’s Choice Award” indeed…I’m a people, and I vote Yeah! ---
