I have spoken with Steve Case. My mom is good friends with a popular recording artist that EVERYONE has heard of. My website has been mentioned on CNN Headline News, Redbook Magazine, numerous radio shows, numerous newspapers, and in Entertainment Weekly Pamela Anderson listed it as one of her 3 favorite sites. ---

Yep, I was one of the kids playing with Happy Meal toys in some McDonald’s commercials back in the 70’s. My uncle worked for the ad agency, I made 5 WHOLE DOLLARS per commercial. I got ripped. ---

I’ve interviewed a few writers (of the horror genre) and I email back and forth from time to time with one of them. I chatted once with Diana Galbadon (in a chatroom with many other fans, but she did answer my question!). Uhh…during WW11, my great-uncle was invited to swim in Bing Crosby’s swimming pool once. He attended a party Bing Crosby threw for GIs and took a dip in the pool along with Mr. Crosby. Quite the talk of the hometown back then. 🙂 No other brushes with greatness other than that. ---

I was called a “fucking bitch” once by a reader who didn’t like the score I gave a game I reviewed. Does that count? I’ve received complimentary emails from readers who like articles I’ve written, but I don’t think that quite qualifies as fan mail. I think that other than those named here already, it’s doubtful that anyone here is famous, and if they are, we’re probably never going to find out. It would be interesting to learn that someone was a popular actor or something, but even if I did learn something like that in private, I wouldn’t share it. I did shake hands with singer, Doug Supernaw once. That’s my only brush with fame. ---

My father works for NPR. He’s Alex Chadwick, that guy who often hosts Morning Edition when Bob Edwards is sick/ on assignment. He used to host Weekend Edition and I think All Things Considered. He also writes lots of stuff for them and Nat’l Geographic and has been trying to start a TV show called Interviews 50 cents, which I won’t even try to explain right now. So I grew up knowing lots of NPR people (Lynn Neary rocks my world. Cokie Roberts does not.) This also led to one of the most surreal experiences of my life, sitting in a tiny airport on Martha’s Vineyard singing showtunes with Scott Simon and Susan Stamberg. ---
