When I went to the doctor in May I got to hear my baby’s heartbeat for the first time and it was pretty cool. I’m still a little, “Are you SURE there is a baby in there? I mean, I know I can feel it moving around and I’ve seen sonograms and all, but being pregnant is a foreign concept for me. You promise that’s a baby and not a tumor, right?” about the whole baby thing but it was very neat to be able to hear the heartbeat. When my husband went with me last month for a sonogram they turned on the speakers so he could hear the heartbeat too and his face lit up like a kid who just found a puppy from Santa under the Christmas tree. I thought his reaction was just as awesome as actually hearing the heartbeat for the first time myself. ---
