Back in August, **Milossarian** was kind enough to start a fantasy football league. You quickly joined, and the league quickly filled. Many people were unable to join, and had to start a second league. You posted in the founding thread, and talked a little trash. Then… **NOTHING** **Weirddave** , **JarbabyJ** , and others have been plugging away at the league, making moves, putting in lineups. You know, actually doing what YOU are suppossed to be doing. Where the fuck are you? Too good for us? Committmentphobic? Just don’t give a shit about your fellow dopers? Yeah, I know it’s just a game, but what the fuck? People were turned away. **LNO** wasn’t even able to do the draft, and he’s still there, making the best team he can after an unbelievably crappy start. You know, following his COMMITTMENT!! I don’t know if you just don’t give a shit about us in the league, or the other people who were turned away. Hell, I don’t even know if you’ve been ranted against already for this. If you say you are going to do something…DO IT. Jerk. ---

I think there’s a special circle of Hell reserved for people who shirk their fantasy responsibilities. I currently have two “dead” players in my 10 team league: completely messes up trades people wanted to make, and skews results because their teams are on cruise control. One of the guys did the same thing last year – joining for the sake of joining:mad:. ---

It still sucks, but this way it makes it more fair. Of course, their are disadvantages to roto as well. ---

Life called, and all that. This thread’s been “on my radar”, so to speak, since … eh, around the third post in it. Yet I refrained from posting in it up until now. Why? 1. With the end of fall term closing in, I’ve got just a tad bit of schoolwork to do, some of which I can’t do yet and as such am reduced to worrying about it. One of the ways I don’t deal with that is to add to my worry load. Like, say, antagonizing over a pit thread regarding fantasy football. Priorities, man. 2. It just ain’t that important to me. Evidently it isn’t as important to me as it is to those people who get seriously involved. If you were expecting me to be wheeling and dealing … well, don’t in the future:) I don’t get all bent out of shape if a fantasy team of mine loses, and there isn’t much of a difference to me if said team wins. 3. I can’t predict how much free time I’ll have in any given week/day/month. I **thought** I would have more time for this sort of thing back when I signed up. ANd occasionally things would look up again, and then they would look down just as fast. And when it comes down to it, again it’s about priorities. I’m not going to put a fantasy football team ahead of things like schoolwork, sleep, eating, various forms of socializing, trips home, etc. 4. I’m the kind of person who, if I start doing one thing, will usually keep doing that one thing for a while. When I do ESPN’s baseball challenge and I go in to edit my lineup, usually I’ll spend easily a few hours looking at various lineups I could have. Knowing that I would be spending possibly WAY too much time playing around with my fantasy football team was one reason I didn’t go in when I had a spare minute or two. 5. Yeah, I forgot for a(n) (un)healthy amount of time. 's happened before with other teams/similar distractions. Again, with something that honestly isn’t that important to me, it’s not high enough on my list of things to do that I remember all that often “Ooh! I need to go fiddle with my fantasy football team!” or “Ooh! I know a trade a really want to make!” 6. Most often, if I’m online (which is basically the only time I could fiddle with my team), there are more important things for me to be doing, or things more conducive to me being happy. And while there is a certain joy (though really not a whole lot) that I derive from doing well in fantasy football, that time could be spent so much more productively. You will be happy, I hope, to note that **just for you** , **Hamlet** , I went and fiddled with my fantasy team. I laughed, I cried, it was a religious experience, and I’ll always remember the good times I had with it. You know, I didn’t even know its name … but I was never gonna be the same. What a team, and what a night. ---

A quick search shows 63 threads in the last 5 days to which iampunha has posted to (must be tough not having that much time on your hands). Takes me maybe 10 minutes to do my stuff for the week in fantasy football. Add that to his lack of apology, his smarmy attitude, and his high horse, and iampunha gets to be on my “Posters I hope choke on their own bullshit” list. Hey, look, Iampunha, your number one on a list. Good for you. Fucking asshole. ---
