ICE camps aren’t death camps, but they’re certainly concentration camps, with no oversight or visibility. That’s not even an exaggeration. Elected representatives who are trying to get _first-hand_ experience with these are being charged with crimes, the DOJ is defending masked participants because they have to “protect” them from consequences, and with lack of oversight we can’t begin to confirm what other Constitutional offenses are being deliberately carried out, or ones that are being allowed to happen out of very-much-NOT-benign-neglect. ---

When I saw this story about an ICE employee arrested in a child sex sting, I thought: That tracks. And certainly don’t call them “death camps”. Just because lots of people are dying in them, it only counts if the people running the camp _deliberately intend to_ kill them.
