I grew up in Texas. Football is ubiquitous in Texas. Pro football, college football, high school football, Pee-Wee football; in fact, every form of football except the original: European football, which most Texans believe to be a commie plot. This line from Sheldon made TV Guide’s best quote of the week. ---

Gotta say Bailik’s delivery sells a lot of jokes. The “please pass the butter!” Line comes to mind. Also the not inherently funny “Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!” line when Beheld n gave her a tiara. ---

I never watched _Blossom_ when it was on, but I became curious about it after seeing Bialik on TBBT, so when one of the classic TV stations was running it, I watched about 10 episodes. I have to say, it was a fair-to-middling show as far as scripts went, that Bialik pretty much carried solely on her thin, adolescent shoulders. ---

I think it’s funny that Bialik often mentions on her blog that she is not a trained actor, because she really does have a talent for making a joke land just by the way she delivers it. “Please pass the butter!” is the punchline of that scene, but all of her over-dramatic reactions to Sheldon’s console dilemma are just golden.
