At the risk of going on a tangent, this reminds me of Macbeth; “Despair thy charm, And let the angel whom thou still hast served Tell thee Macduff was from his mother’s womb Untimely ripped.” I suppose it’s a form of self introduction, though between people who knew each other. ---
