Actually I think you have this backward. At 20 I would probably have said hell yes; I’m having a great time and I’ll trade one leg for 20 extra years. At 66 I say no thanks; every year more things hurt and I don’t really want to go on with these wrinkles and this arthritis for an extra 20!
Same here. Not that I want to die now or anything, but I’d rather have a “shorter” life and live it to the fullest, with all my limbs and senses.
Ditto this, and add, “with the people I love”. I’m starting to notice that friends and relatives are dying at a faster rate. Living life without the people I love would be excruciating (I don’t have kids).
I already did, and it has been good for 14 years, so far…
