It is true that stereotypes are not entirely wrong, in the sense that different cultural groups will act on average in different ways. But nobody is the average person. So it does not substitute to actual knowledge. I do not lend money to average members of cultural groups I do not know anything about. I suggest the OP do the same. ---

I don’t lend money to anyone, regardless of race or ethnicity. I don’t start businesses with people I don’t know. I’m about 1/4th or 1/8th Roma (depending on whose immigration stories you believe), and think that the assumptions made in this thread are hilarious. “We” aren’t some sort of monolithic group the same the world over. ---
