# "I'd read his grocery list."

We’ve probably all heard or made a similar comment about some writer or actor where you would consume anything that they put out, but the writer Haruki Murakami not too long ago actually did something similar to that, publishing a book about his laundry.

It isn’t quite what you’re after, but S.J. Perelman wrote a short story called "_No Starch in the Dhoti, S’il Vous Plait"_, which was a riff on Motilal Nehru (patriarch of the Nehru-Gandhi family) sending his clothes to a Paris laundry.

Sorta reminds me of this quote from Billy Joel on his idea for a farewell tour (but with a different outcome):

I wrote this as part of a review for the DaVinci Code- “For those of you saying you’d watch Sir Ian reading the phone book… you are in luck!”
(Sir Ian spends some good long time doing plot exposition. Long enuf for a bathroom break )
