ID That TV Show in 5 Clues

Frasier

Still thinking up some clues; I just found this thread!

  1. God
  2. MIT
  3. Indiana
  4. The Military
  5. “wah” “wah” (This one’s a little subjective, but if someone can get it you will see what I mean)

I am so surprised the doper nation isn’t getting a sci-fi program…

How does Frasier sound like a paradox?

Arrested Development

  1. Especially heinous
  2. 9 Other Shows
  3. Ludacris
  4. Wolf
  5. Odafin

That was the one clue I couldn’t parse; I took it to Mr. S and he said, “‘Pair o’docs’ [Niles and Frasier] sounds like ‘paradox.’”

Here’s my set o’clues:

  1. Fibber McGee & Molly
  2. Bitchcakes
  3. Dr. Frank
  4. Chocolate gelato
  5. It’s pronounced EEEEEEEE-velyn

Well, with that clue, I’ll go ahead and offer my longshot, just-a-hunch wild guess of Quantum Leap.

Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.
I’ve still got one outstanding… Did I make it too hard? I’ll start giving extra clues after it’s gone 24 hours.
Three relatively easy ones. Get one, the others will be easier to guess.

  1. 1995
  2. Admiral
  3. Amnesia
  4. New Mexico
  5. Seven doctorates
  6. Bar owner
  7. Blind woman
  8. Cat
  9. Chicago
  10. Newspaper
  11. 1948
  12. Cop
  13. Currency
  14. Reporter
  15. San Francisco

Newsradio.

And as for the “paradox”, I believe it was even one of their scene-starting screens. Whatever those were called. Title cards?

I’m going to go with “Real Genius”, cuz of ‘god’.

Dang! That was fast! This is the first time I’ve ever come across anyone outside my family who remembers that show!

Here’s a new one:

  1. Grandma-ma
  2. Conjoined twins
  3. Detective
  4. Deviant
  5. Ajax

Yes, that’s it. And for anyone wondering, the guy with two bird names is Martin Crane.

[QUOTE]

I remembered the name right off too, but it was already answered, boo hoo.

Early Edition

  1. A couple of dicks
  2. Oliver Douglas and Jonathan Hart? not quite
  3. Sharon Gless
  4. Anne Archer
  5. Stingers

Thought of another show:

1.Thoroughfare
2.Duck
3.Bricks
4.Popular Sandwich
5.Los Angeles

Anyone know this one?

  1. Backup
  2. Weevil
  3. Piz
  4. Vinnie Van Lowe
  5. Neptune HS

This one should be easy.

  1. '30s Hoofer
  2. '50s Beauty Contestant
  3. '60s Urban Rustic (See #1)
  4. '70s Fords
  5. “Son” Dead circa '73

Quantum Leap?

(Didn’t we already have QL?)

I’m sure someone does.

No one’s gotten this yet… Perhaps I should have quoted the first clue:

  1. “A long time ago”

This thread has gotten long; it’s easy to miss if the show you want to do has already been done. It’s probably even easier to miss if it’s been done, but hasn’t been answered yet.

I’ve tried to make sure my clues have all appeared or been mentioned in more than one episode of the show. Back in the days before the Internet, PVRs and DVDs, even the most rabid fans would miss an episode or two.

Oooh! Oooh! I know that one! But I’m not sure I’ve got the name right. Was it Switch?
