Friends and I were trying to remember the name of this last night, but nobody could come up with it and IMDB is a lost cause. It’s a mid-eighties beach movie - I’d estimate around '86 or '87 - and I think volleyball played a part in the plot. The main thing we remembered about the movie is that a bunch of the characters keep singing “iko iko” (“my flag boy and your flag boy/sitting around the fire/my flag boy says to your flag boy/gonna set your flag on fire/hey now, hey now, hey now, hey now/iko iko away”).

Someone has to know this!

Is it [Side Out](http://imdb.com/title/tt0100613/), from 1990?

Nope, although it’s close in tone and vibe to that one.

[Satisfaction](http://imdb.com/title/tt0096037/), maybe?

_Satisfaction_ was my first thought; Justine Bateman’s band played “Iko Iko” at least once, and a lot of it was on/near a beach. I don’t specifically recall any volleyball being played, but then again, about ten minutes into the movie my mind was occupied with contemplating suicide and I may have missed a plot point or two.
