# ID3 Tags

Well, I’ve made it a policy of mine to remove the ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags from every song that I have. Now, I would like to buy an mp3 player, and I’m pretty sure that it won’t be nearly as efficient if I don’t have those tags. Does anyone know about a program that will read the name of my file and fix the tags, or a program that will otherwise fix my id3 tags? Doing this manually (especially seeing as I don’t know all of the relevant information for about 98% of the songs) is about as appetizing as licking salt-covered razor blades.

For those programmers out there, if you want to whip something up real quick I wouldn’t complain either. 🆒

Nope, this one couldn’t be legitimate. If the MP3s were made using store-bought CDs, he’d have ‘all of the relevant information’ from the liner notes. Just to forestall any of the complaints about this thread getting locked. It’s definitely about pirated music.

Like I was saying… I’m not sure how the trial version works, you might have to restart the program every 10th song or something to that effect. 🙂

FTR, I’m not claiming that I ripped all of these songs. However, I removed the ID3 tags from the ones that I ripped as well. So poo to you! 😉

Locked for obvious reasons. Goddammit, if you assholes wanna talk about pirating music, do it elswhere. Or I’ll make it impossible for you to talk about **anything** here. This policy is well publicized.
