There is no direct route to Santa Fe. You can only fly as close as Albuquerque, and the train stops in Lamy. Even the interstate seems to shrug as it sidesteps the city that stopped keeping a calendar in 1967.

As I am sure is the entire flavor of this thread… its the one book you want to write, but the elements never shake out quite right. (Not to mention this was a Sci-fi/Fantasy plotline… thats not too overcrowded, not at all! :eek:
