# Identify these weird tubes on the beach

I am pretty sure they are these [pneumatic ribbons](http://www.freelin-wade.com/colored-ribbon-p-3445-l-en.html) or a variation of them.

Is there any development above the beach? My first guess would be an unconventional french drain.
