# Identify this comic book?

I’m trying to remember the name of a comic book I read about two years ago. I think it was a graphic novel and it may have been out for a while before I read it. It was an independent.
It was about a group of super-heroes with different powers. The plot jumped back and forth between two different time periods. In the later time period the heroes had been banned (and many had been killed). One heroine was hiding with a group of refugees. The most specific detail I can remember was that they used city names as their aliases - Boston, Detroit, Miami, etc.
Anyone help me?
