While in New Hampshire, I saw this comic in two different stores, but haven’t been able to find it in Iowa, Oklahoma, or Texas. It seemed to have a pretty high publishing quality, so I don’t think that it would have been a local publication, but who knows.

Anyway, to actually help you ID it; it was a western starring a cowboy, and every chapter was an adventure that was supposed to be an allegory for the author’s relationship with a different girl-- at least that’s what my friend who flipped through a couple of pages said.

The cover may have been orange.
