So Telefunkens and Neumanns don’t cut it, then? I’m sure there’s some that don’t cost an elbow and a knee. myself - I print it mic, not mike (whatevs) ---

Microphones like this are way out of my price range so I have absolutely no familiarity with them whatsoever. On to sonic qualities … From the videos I have seen and through the headphones I have, there is a certain “richness” that I can not explain. I am familiar with such mics as Shure, et al. I am impressed and asking why. ---
