# Identify this old single-shot .22 rifle

I’ll give you a hint: It’s a Sears, Roebuck & Co. Model 103 [like this one](http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=121289097). To charge it, the bolt is opened, a single .22 round is put in, the bolt is closed, and then the plunger (the disc at the back) is pulled out to cock it.

I know that mine (which doesn’t have that bogus recoil pad) was made by Marlin, but what is the model number?

Never mind. It looks like a [Marlin Model 100](http://www.e-gunparts.com/images/schematic/082Zz100G.jpg). (The image is of a 100G. Mine has the disc-shaped plunger as pictured [here](http://www.e-gunparts.com/images/schematic/082Zz100.jpg).)

Yes. I was looking for the Marlin model number, as I have a Sears one and the Sears model number is stamped on it. The Marlin model number appears to be 100.

Hello Johnny. I don’t know if it helps you, but Hiawatha made a near identical model with a tube magazine. (My apologies, but I don’t know the model number.)

While not a Marlin, the rifle I was talking about in [THIS](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=498984) thread looks identical. Mine is a Springfield Model 15, purchased in 1939 for under $5 brand new.
