Yesterday I saw one of those pickup trucks with dual exhausts that go up behind the cab, like the exhausts on tractor-trailers. It was belching out quite a bit of black smoke, too. I don’t know about trucks, so there may be a good reason for that, but it just seemed silly. Also – fart pipes. ---

Often it is for looks, but it can be functional too. If it’s a work truck, farm truck, or off road truck it can get a bit more clearance and also briefly drive through a few feet of water without stalling out from flooding the exhaust – especially if it is a diesel owing to the lack of spark plugs. Mostly it’s for looks though. ---

(Regarding the Hijet) Is there no such thing as speed bumps there and/or are all the roads perfectly flat? It’s already been mentioned but I hate the fake fender vents. Especially when people attach them to the sides of their POS '98 Corolla. ---

I didn’t realize that the sound was coming from the other car, and asked my husband if his car was making that noise. I think I personally offended him. 🙂 ---

My husband had a 97 Nissan Maxima. We sold the Maxima to a kid who wanted to turn it into a ricer. The kid was all excited and told my husband about all the cool mods he was going to do to the car. Anyway, we have seen this kid and my husband’s former car around a couple of times. The kid put a huge [spoiler](http://www.customautotrim.com/spoilers/nissan/maxima/wg1373/) like this on the car as well as some [awesome graphics](http://www.customautotrim.com/graphics/truck/gk360/) and ground effects. The whole thing looks funny to me. ---
