Incidentally, while I was dismissive of the idea that Kara be coddled, I didn’t mean for you to take it so personally. It’s lovely that you want to defend her, I’m just incapable of understanding why you find it necessary to do so. She’s a grown up, extremely well compensated, and she can’t have someone just say, gee, that song sucks? I make a lot less than she does as a writer and have to live with much harsher criticism by nobodies on the Internet. It comes with the business. I do hear writers complain about it, even successful ones, and my response is the same. ---

For the record, no cringe here either. I’m glad he said it. We also don’t know how much input Kara had in writing that song with the two other people so who knows how much it really hurt her feelings. Maybe she just helped w/ a chord structure or something and ended up w/ a songwriting credit. It probably hurt the other two writers’ feelings more, but who cares? ---

Me and my wife only watched the performances, did not watch any of the judges comments. We both are big Adam fans. Kris is ok, talented and bland. I think Adam will do fine whether he wins or not. ---

Love David Cook! That song is amazing. Since I have a friend going through brain cancer right now, I will totally be buying that song tonight. On a lighter note, I also love Norman Gentle, and Ryan in Norman’s glasses/headband. Perfect AI moment! ---

Jason Mraz is so awesome. I love Anoop and Alexis. Yay for that set! (My three year old is now running around singing “Geek in the Pink”. She loves Mraz too.) Not a big Keith Urban fan, but LOVE Kris doing that song. Very awesome. Alexis really knows how to move during Glamorous. ---

a lot of good moments so far. Cookie & his fine band made me tear up. (My daddy died from brain cancer - you bet I’m supporting DC’s fave charity. What a cool thing for him to do.) Gentle was funny. Glad Alexis Grace got a moment in the spotlight. Loved Kris & Keith! and “Time after Time” is my favorite Cyndi Lauper song! Go Allison. ---
