# IE 5.5 Javascript question

I was plying around withmy java settings in IE and now whenever I click on something that has javascript it won’t work. I tried resetting my defaults but it isn’t working. Anyone have any ideas short of reinstalling IE?

Have you tried resetting your security options?  
Go to Tools --\> Internet Options… --\> Security --\> Custom Level

Then look for the “Scripting” section. Make sure none of the settings are on “disabled.”

You might temporarily change the setting to “prompt”, and then go to a site with javascript. If you are then given a prompt, then you know the browser is at least reading the javascript.
