# If a huge person loses weight & has excess skin removed - then gains weight again...

I don’t know about the exact question, but it _is_ possible for skin to split from internal pressure. My mother suffered some really bad edema in her lower legs after veins had been harvested for bypass surgery, and she got some a tear around one ankle.
