If Adam and Eve exsisted then...

Maybe someone can answer the question in my sig file?

 Probably, jab1, because God told Moses a parable about the creation that would be understood by a primitive wandering tribe. Perhaps God didn’t use a rib and some dirt, but used Adam’s genetic makeup, tweaked it to a female version, and then used that to create Eve.

Of course, a nomadic people would have perfect understanding of genetic manipulation four thousand years ago, so why DIDN’T God just speak plainly?

…I’ll bet they didn’t have bellybuttons.

Yes, but then we would left with no natural protection against future recessive genes that will appear as the result of random mutation. Our bodies go to a great deal of trouble to have two complete copies of our genes to protect against these nasty mutations. The loss of heterozygosity that would result from incest will cause those two copies to look identical, thus defeating their purpose.

Maybe someone could read the administration’s policy on sig files, particularly item 3.

I have used my sig file one time in this thread. What’s your point?

Chubbs, most all of the Europeans are offspring from the same king/queen. That would include most of us.

Still one wonders if Adam said ‘Stand back! I don’t know how bit it’ll get,’ if they were gonna have sex.

Not if God duplicated Adam’s X chromosome.

And as for the OP, just who is “we all”? A prerequisite for incest is that one be sexually active.

It’s been proven. Sorry, but the whole story of Adam & Eve was kinda a parable of how powerful God is, it never really happened, it is just an adaptation of an Egyptian myth.

A common misconception. Actually, it would have been Yves, Adam’s French brother.
