A lot of young pot smokers think old people don’t smoke pot because either, they can’t find it, aren’t trying to find it, view it as not worth the risk, or they just don’t have time with all their responsibilities. She was offering a way for an old person to get high without having to meet a dealer and buy a bag. She would get a kick out of the novelty of it all and a bit of fun for little cost. ---

If your wife had said yes, the girl would either have asked to buy some or tried to sell your wife some. I’m leaning towards the selling side. ---

(more like [49%](http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2015/04/14/6-facts-about-marijuana/) tried, and [under 10%](http://www.popsci.com/survey-says-percent-americans-smoking-weed-has-doubled-since-2002) smoke regularly. I’m now semi-retired, but for over 25 years I worked in an industry where I was subject to random drug testing. (Not only by my employers, but by clients as well.) I never knew when I would be asked to make a “donation.” My problem was that it seemed like everyone around me would want to partake in my presence. I’d go to a simple dinner and get-together at an old friend’s home and everyone would whip out some herb after the meal. I’d have to excuse myself to go stand outside, which would naturally cause all present to stop smoking so I could come back inside. It made me feel like a leper. I would explain that I had no moral objections (I really don’t care), but they would insist. I just couldn’t take a chance on a significant contact high. And these people were all older professionals…lawyers, educators, physicians, managers in state and federal agencies, etc. ---

Unless your circle is almost exclusively law enforcement of some type, or people who work for companies who randomly drug test. I haven’t “partaken” in many, many years, but have many friends who I know or strongly suspect “partake” on a regular or semi-regular basis. It really isn’t a big deal, and doesn’t mean they are “stoners”. (Narc) 😛 Just funnin’. ---
