Depending on the cost, I’d want Discovery, CNN (for their coverage of big events), Comedy Central, and ESPN. Probably USA. Other than that, I can give up. My wife, I’m sure, would think differently.
Same here. I think I should be able to pick up broadcast signals here, but I haven’t bothered figuring out how. I use my TV for DVDs. I didn’t even own one until ~9 months ago when a friend won one and sold me her old one for cheap.
I suppose if it were cheap I’d get a few channels, but I don’t actually know the names of most of them. Maybe HBO. I’ve watched that in hotels and it seems fun.
I dropped cable a month or two ago. I have basic cable + high speed internet because it’s cheaper than just plain high speed internet.
So what I don’t have and would pay for is:
AMC (for Mad Men)
FX (for It’s Always Sunny and The League)
Comedy Central (stand up, occasional Daily Show/Colbert)
TBS (for Conan)
History Channel (for the SO)
G4 (also for the SO)
Everything else is on NBC (30 Rock, Outsourced, Community, Parks & Rec) that I watch.
