Wait—so when Maurice Chevalier sang “Fifty Million Frenchmen Can’t be Wrong” in the early '30s, he was _projecting?_ I always did think that was an excessive amount of Frenchmen . . . ---

I don’t live under a rock, and I fully realize that the events of 9/11 were deadly and tragic. However, many, many books about many, many deadly events with dubious facts and conspiracy theories. So what? You want to get all violent with someone for that? And if violence is the sentence for falsifying facts, then there’s a whole bunch of people who deserve an ass whoopin’, many members of our current government included. Where ya going with that? Hey, I’m not at all disputing that the guy is a wacko, fabricating french fuckwad, but this whole thread smacks of the [mob soccer chant] USA! USA! Your supposition that there can be “points of view” about facts is one of the most invidious and dangerous ideas that currently flutters around.
