Yeah, I like me and all well enough, but I wouldn’t want 6 billion copies of myself to deal with for all my natural born life. Not only would I be bored out of my mind pretty quickly, but no one would always want to cook and we’d spend too much time at amusement parks, theaters and baseball parks. Plenty of cool stuff but not as much substance as I’d like. ---

I could live very happily with a bunch of mes (what’s the plural of “me”?). I’m a little confused about the concept of lower itnelligence mes; not really sure what I’d be like, but OK. We’d have to figure out what to do with all the cows and pigs, as the mes wouldn’t eat much meat, and there’d be a sudden glut of foreign cars on the American market, but otherwise we’d do pretty well. As someone said above the finance industry would go through a major transformation, but that’s pretty well needed anyway. ---

Half of the things I do are solely because no one else does them. I mean, what would it be like if _everyone_ told terrible puns? Did card tricks? Had a wicked chess game? Those things would be obsolete. I don’t drive because everyone else does. I take the train because, relatively, no one else does. I study astrophysics while everyone else reads the sports page so that I know things they don’t. Can I just take 20% of world as mes? ---

I think it would be boring. I mean, I like me (pretty much), but I think differences are what make the world go around. I have a sense of humor, am easy to get along with, and am pretty much open to new experiences and viewpoints. That being said, people who have different outlooks are what make me grow and think about things in a different light. I may not always agree with them, but it gives me a chance to consider that things are looked differently. ---

If I thought it’d be a good idea, I’d have more friends, or at least search out more people like me. But I don’t. There was a Twilight Zone episode with this exact scenario, and the actor played everyone else he met, including women. They were all just as surly and unfriendly as he was, and of course he vowed to change by the end of the episode. ---
