Being a biblical sort, I’d go with _Psalms_, _Hebrews_ or _Tobit_(gotta throw the apocrypha in there somewhere :P) Instead of a novel, I’d take William Blake’s _Songs of Innocence_ or _Songs of Experience_ just because we have to have poetry too. ---

Leon Uris’ _Exodus_ I read that book over and over, during lunch and dinner, every day for 3 months while being “tutored” at my grand parents’ place. It was during my 6th grade summer; it was the only action book I could find there. Didn’t find the “cache” in the attic until a year later! ---
