Interesting stuff. I like the whole Mexican wrestler look.

I don’t know why they chose that look, **MBS** , but if you like **The Ventures** , you will like these guys, I guarantee it! Love that surf-guitar!

I thought of Los Straitjackets before opening this thread. I’ve only heard their Christmas album, but it’s good. I even like their version of **Jingle Bell Rock** , which I’ve never liked before.

As a sidebar, they often tour with the [World Famous Pontani Sisters](http://www.pontanisisters.com/) as their go-go dancers. That’s one show I’d like to see live.

Absolutely. **Los Straitjackets** were on the World Cafe maybe a month ago, and just smoked.

There was a band in Virginia in the 80’s calle **The Cashmere Jungle Lords** that were a heck of a lot like the Straitjackets.

MAJOR surf music fan checking in! I saw Los Straitjackets back in 1996, and they were awesome then and still RAWK. Even if they didn’t wear lucha masks, they’d still be one of the great surf/instrumental bands of all time, and the masks only make them cooler.

I also recommend The Volcanos, although to the best of my knowledge, they don’t have a website, and there is hardly any information about them online. But their two albums “Surf Quake” and “Finish Line Fever” are damn near perfect.
