I think less of anyone who would think less of Ghostwriter X. And I feel the same if you substitute anyone else for Bush.
I would think more of you, since you must be a very talented writer to get such a gig.
Regardless of the personal opinion of the people in question, they are very important people, and I assume they would pick the cream of the crop.

What brought this up was a conversation with my wife and my son’s daughter in which I jokingly mentioned that possibility. Both of them were surprised and thought I’d be horribly inconsistent for doing so, given that I an Obama volunteer. Naturally I responded by quoting Johnson and Whitman.
I would expect them to pick the biggest suckup they could find, regardless of their incompetence. That’s been their pattern all along. They’d expect the resulting unreadable garbage to be bought in bulk by the Republican Party anyway, so they could point to the sales numbers and preen about them.
