I also do not care about her ethnicity, skin color, eye color, size of her nose, size of her boobs, etc. Short of plastic surgery, those are things she has no control over, so (for me) they have no bearing on her attractiveness.

And that’s great that height isn’t a factor in what you find attractive. You mention things you _do_ find unattractive and those are fine too.

Some people, men and women, do find height to be a factor in what they are or are not attracted to. Regardless of what some in this thread choose to say, there’s nothing wrong with that either.

> I think shorter women now days are starting to feel the heat for “only dating tall guys” and know that it’s becoming more and more frowned upon when shorter women refuse to date shorter men such as men that are like 5’8" 5’9" 5’10"5’11" and these women only say they will only date men that are 6’ and above. The media is HUGELY to blame for this. Shorter women have gotten away with it and it’s become socially acceptable for women to be so shallow and refuse to date men that are shorter than 6’ and now that men have caught on I think shorter women are feeling that they get lambasted, angry looks, disgusted looks when they refuse to date shorter men and only date these super tall men.

I’m a woman who is short and mostly dates taller men (my ideal is 5’10’’ and above- that seems to be what I’m most attracted to). I’ve gone a few dates with shorter guys, but nothing ever panned out. My point is: I mostly date tall guys and have never been quiet about that fact.

Before this thread, no one has ever called me vapid or shallow. No one has ever pressured me to date shorter guys because it’s the right thing to do. I’ve never felt pressures from the media. Literally the only negative experience I’ve had in regard to wanting to date taller guys is this thread.

That’s awesome that you date men taller than you but still dating men in the 5’6 to 5’10 range but I think what has become so negative for men to hear is the women that blantely will say in disgust of “ugh I will never date a man that is in the 5’ range I will only just only date men that are 6’ and above” even though she is in the range of 5’1" to 5’5" to 5’6". Plus also the high heels argument is also a bunch of bunk because we know your not going to wear high heels every day 7 days a week 24/7. The “feeling protected” is also complete bunk. But having the open mind of the possibility of dating men in the 5’ range.

I’m not rehashing all this again. All I was responding to was your contention that society is pressuring us women to stop being so “shallow” about height. That’s silly and just not true, at least in my perhaps limited experience.
