I’m also curious about El Jefe’s discussion - hopefully he turns out to be a spy and the business is a front for trafficking construction cones (sorry - I couldn’t come up with anything on the fly and I’ve been eyeballing the construction cones outside my window for a few minutes). Overlyboy just took off, looking ridiculously handsome. Evidently we now dress up in business suits when going to see The Minions. Who knew? **sari** , hugs to you and your mom. Got a couple of messages from my PCP. She says I need to boost HDL a little, wants me eating more nuts/seeds/eggs/fish. She’s satisfied with all other recent labs. (I noted that LDL dropped from 158 to 60 in a month on Lipitor. That sounds quite helpful to me.) Some concern about my right carotid artery from the ultrasound. She’s having vascular specialists review this, wanted me to see her for follow-up in a month (appointment duly scheduled). Tortilla press Thursday, girly exam now the 5th (best I could do there). PCP also referred me to their behavioral health department about anxiety issues, they’re scheduling me a therapist (intake also on Thursday, by phone). I’m apparently more of a mess than I realized. ---

It’s too freakin’ hot to run the oven. 🙂 **{{{sari}}}** IME, having / had elders and having worked in a nursing home when I was younger, people don’t usually become saints just because they’re sick and old. I used to take care of the former produce broker from when we truck farmed as a kid, and Mr. Whit could be just as ornery in his decrepitude as he was in his prime (I used to threaten to sic my dad on him to get him to behave. 😛 ) Hi **pearl**! Right before I left irk, I got the phone carton from hell to wipe data from. These were grade A phones (we’re doing a re-furb project for one of our clients) and they were more fubar than any carton of grade C that I’ve ever done. Oy, vey! Once home, I walked Nelson, gave his front nails a trim (I thought I quicked him on one of his nails, but he was just being dramatic), fixed supper and decided that until our state primaries are over, I’m reading my news rather than listen to politicians try to out-conservative each other, only to suck up in time for the general election. Given that I live in a red state, there aren’t very many contests on the other side. Stay safe and healthy y’all! ---

I stopped on the way home to get a sack of kitten kibbles. I haven’t seen any of the cats today. Mom may have moved them. I left food and water outside for them, but there’s no way of knowing if they’re the ones eating it. Stoopit cats… 😼 Other than that, just an evening of chillage, all the more enjoyable because Ken Jennings is hosting Jeopardy again. I don’t think Mayim is very good so I’m glad her stint is done. I do wish they’d pick a permanent host and be done with it. I want Buzzy. OK, recliner beckons… ---

Howdy Y’all! Laundry got laundered and we watched it rain from the back porch after nappage. Sup got fixed and et. All in all, a nice day. Except… I have spent a few hours doin’ some schedulin’ of folks to serve Saturday at a funeral. A long time member of the church who had cancer and had been in hospice died Sunday mornin’. RIP Gary. I really liked him and his late wife Corrine. Anywho, since, joy of joys, it is my duty to schedule this stuff, I have been textin’ and callin’ folks. I have all but one usher scheduled. I mentioned this to OYKW and said, “I am one usher short of a funeral” and then cracked up. He told me he was stayin’ on the other side of the house cause he does not want to get hit by the lightnin’ bolt that will be meant for me. Guess I just crawled further into the handbasket then. ---

I’m Baaacccckkkkk! Yeah, Okay. I think I’m caught up, but who knows, so yays, boos, wet salmon, etc. We went back to the valley Friday to sign some papers for our house sale, hope it’s the last time. Also had a BBQ to go to and **Wifey** arranged a visit to Gibbs’ old vet to get him shots. Speaking of which, Gibbs has hurt his other rear foot, or leg somehow. We left him at The Girl’s house with her new puppy while we all went to our storage locker and when we came back he was limping badly. The new pup is a Mini Aussie and no bigger than Gibbs so we don’t for a moment think Archie hurt Gibbs. Prolly Gibbs was trying to get away from Archie and jumped up or down or something. Who knows. Archie wants to play so badly, and Gibbs is a ‘senior dog’ and runs out of patience fairly quickly. Anyway, we came home last night and are getting caught up. Also I’m having trouble with my temporomandibular joint on the right side. I’ve had an occasional problem there for 50+ years with it popping and occasionally hurting. Well, now it hurts when I try to chew anything. If I had a PCP, I’d go see him/her. Wifey and I have an interview with a potential new doctor next month. Hopefully she’ll be the one. It’s quite hot here. 98f it says. We’re staying inside with both A/C units running. Well, that’s the news. ---

Checked the water meter and only 1.5 gallons used in 4 hours (mostly by the refrigerator I think–I was down to my last 4-5 ice cubes). I’ll keep checking it daily just to be sure, but looks like the leaks are all fixed. Now hopefully Wednesday the folks I contacted will put the carpet and floor tiles back on the re-cemented areas and this long trek will be done. Take care all. ---

GG was OK with getting his claws trimmed until he saw VBC fussing over it. Of course he had to start fussing over it too, but he’s a teenager and they are all drama queens at that age no matter what the breed or sex.
