I’ve heard “pitched a bitch” many times before, used to mean “had a hissy fit.” Never “flipped a bitch” before, though. ---

I’d first think you’d performed acrobatics with a female dog. Then I’d pause and wonder if you’d shown the digitus impudicus to a woman you disliked. Never heard of the U-turn thingy. That to me would be hanging a u-ey. ---

Never heard of it. I might be able to work out what it means, if given some context. Without context, I’d think it meant a cat fight. Just looked at the spoiler and would never have thought of that meaning. We chuck u-eys where I live. ---

Never heard it. Raised in Maryland, 23 years old. A lot of possibilities entered my mind when reading the phrase but anything having to do with driving a vehicle or U-turns wasn’t even on the radar. I have heard “make/hang a u-ie” but say “make a U-turn.” ---

Growing up in Southern California, I remember using this phrase back in the eighties. “Dude, you missed the turn. Flip a bitch; the turn will be on the left.” ---

I have heard of it, and use it. I got it by osmosis from my Michigan born and bred exhusband, although he may have picked it up from his time in the Army driving ambulances. I am doing my best to introduce it to Australia, where the local terminology is, as **Cunctator** indicates, to ‘chuck a u-ey’. If the said bitch to be flipped involves pulling into someone’s driveway to complete the u-turn, it’s referred to as a 'Hi honey, I’m home!".
